It's a shame to see the conversations limited to nuclear true believers no matter how good the points they have to make. It mostly has a preaching to the chorus quality. Since presumably you want reach out beyond the nuclear techno geeks you might want to be a little more open to those beyond your world. I notice those who take an interesting tack that is not denialist but not quite in the narrow mainstream of this board get quickly shoved out the door.
People start from where they start. You have to give them room to evolve. You want folks to consider your views so why don't you show a little respect for the views of others.
But then maybe this is just an in-house forum. In that case remove this post with all deliberate speed.
Best of luck in any case since at least your intentions towards Mother Earth appear good.

Quest, I for one would welcome you starting up a discussion on any climate-related blindness we have blundered into. If you are serious, rather than just spraying derision for your own "chorus of believers", please log on as a member and do the homework backing your observation. You would need to post again, this time with evidence of where we have overlooked "an interesting tack" that has not already been addressed elsewhere on BNC.
As I read it, what we have in common on BNC is concern about the climate, but not all of us are focused on nuclear as the alternative to carbon. I guess that makes most of us "green", and some of us seem to be Green without completely toeing the Party line.
Please understand that we are occasionally visited by anonymous zealots who make a contrary assertion based on faith rather than fact, then fall silent, failing to respond to our carefully composed replies. (Surely you would treat such people with contempt.) Consequently it may take a couple of intelligent postings from you before others on BNC take you seriously. That is, if you are serious...

Roger I have checked this forum from the beginning and it is in my mind a very different forum from when it started. Before it was more wide open with a wealth of different perspectives. Now it is simply wall to wall nuclear advocacy. I think a lot of that has to do with kicking folks off the forum who didn't conform and from what I saw often on false pretenses.
That doesn't make the forum invalid, just limited. I'll still check in and recommend it as a nuclear source, particularly the main page. But as a robust discussion of the environment and climate change in its various dimensions there is not a lot to hold folks interest.
It's a shame and short of changing your moderating policies and being proactive toward inviting a wider range of perspectives I don't see much that can be done.
