Coal product used to create green clean water 2021 Nov 04 phys.org phys.org/news/2021-11-coal-product-green.htmlDespite the title, this is a desalination technique requiring only sunlight to evaporate the water. I find it an ingeneous use of carbon as a catalyst.

Changes in vegetation shaped global temperatures over last 10,000 years Washington University in St. Louis 15 Apr 2022 Phys.org phys.org/news/2022-04-vegetation-global-temperatures-years.htmlThis research seeks to explain a spike in temperatures in the mid-Holocene. Changes in global vegetation appear to be the answer. Though not stated in the article, the paper concludes that changes in the planet's surface albedo, largely from the greening of the Sahara, is the likely mechanism for the warming.
