Hydrogen is Big Oil's Last Grand Scam Alex Grant & Paul Martin 2021 Feb 24 CleanTechnica cleantechnica.com/2021/02/24/hydrogen-is-big-oils-last-grand-scam/But: with an excess of solar power mid-day electrolysis becomes inexpensive. One way to ship it and use it is by making methane for the natural gas network. The carbon is to be extracted from carbon dioxide, for example.

World’s largest underground storage project Emiliano Bellini 2022 Aug 04 PV Magazine www.pv-magazine.com/2022/08/04/worlds-largest-underground-hydrogen-storage-project/Near a retiring or retired coal powered generating station which has been a substantial support of the southern California grid. The large salt dome provides a convenient storage facility, provided the hydrogen doesn’t leak too badly. So all is in place except that Delta, Utah, doesn’t really have that much water to spare for the hydrolysis into hydrogen.
