Dual Fluid Reactor --- a new concept of a highly effective fast reactorahmed.triumf.ca/DFR_CAP/FR13_T1-CN-199-481.pdfdescribes the concept similar to a MSR, but keeps the lead coolant in a separate piping system. On paper it seems to have a EROI of about 2000 when used to generate electricity. Also, it is small enough to readily place underground. The only difficulties I noticed are separating an isotope of chlorine and the (unstated) pyroprocessing plan.
